About Neighborly
Neighborly was founded in early 2025 by Brianna Clark, a Huntsville resident longing for more local community. She quickly adopted the slogan “Have fun, do good” for the group, as Neighborly’s purpose was clear: to bring people together, to make connections, and to have a positive impact on our city. Within the first few weeks of introducing Neighborly online, hundreds and hundreds of Huntsville residents joined the group, including many young families and those who were new to the area. Neighborly continues to grow, and we’re excited to see what the future holds for us!
Community Parters
Madison County Little Free Pantries
The mission of little free pantries is to provide immediate aid to those in the community suffering from food insecurity; this aid is freely accessible and does not require people to complete paperwork, demonstrate need, or show up at set hours: this helps ensure no one falls through the cracks. Our vision is a community in which everyone has access to nutritious food and basic care items no matter the time or day. Learn more in the Facebook group.
Neighborly heard from Little Free Pantries founder, Alex Forsythe, at our March 2025 meeting, where we also donated food and built birthday cake kits for the pantries.
The UAH Green Club is a group of students from the University of Alabama in Huntsville that work to support environmental efforts in our community, in addition to maintaining a community garden and volunteering with other groups in Huntsville. You can learn more about the Green Club on their Instagram page.
Neighborly heard from the Green Club at our March 2025 meeting, where we made a donation to the group and sent our members home with seed starters for their gardens.

FAQs
-
Neighborly is a space for all people who are kind and inclusive. We seek to build bridges between people in our group and larger community. While we may disagree on specific policies or ways to live well, we believe in respecting one another and letting folks live their lives how they’d like as long as they’re not harming others.
-
No, Neighborly is not religiously affiliated, and many of our members come to Neighborly gatherings as an alternative to the community found in traditional religious spaces. However, we do have religious members who either worship privately or come to Neighborly gatherings in addition to going to church. As long as you can be respectful of others’ beliefs, you’re welcome here.
-
No, we are not politically affiliated. Our individual members may be quite politically active, but Neighborly does not endorse any specific candidates. We welcome anyone interested in being kind and respecting others to our group.
